The Loan Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to loan officers. This role is responsible for preparing loan documentation, maintaining loan files, coordinating loan closings, and assisting customers with loan-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and customer service focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review loan documents and forms with accuracy and in compliance with regulatory and bank guidelines.
- Schedule and coordinate loan closings; follow up with borrowers for required documentation.
- Maintain loan files and update records in the loan processing system.
- Assist loan officers in tracking loan applications and gathering necessary supporting information.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers with questions or updates related to their loans.
- Monitor pending loan files to ensure timely completion and compliance with deadlines.
- Provide support during audits and examinations by organizing and submitting requested documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and loan information.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Loan Officer or Department Manager.
